Brian Carlson

Dr. Carlson has been in practice for more than 20 years in California. He moved to Las Vegas just over 2 years ago.
Dr Carlson is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. His Gastroenterology fellowship training took place at the University of California Irvine and featured a transplant hepatology rotation at UCLA Medical Center.
Dr Carlson provides care in all aspects of gastrointestinal disease. He has a personal interest in inflammatory bowel disease and therapeutic biliary endoscopy. He has spearheaded the introduction of Spyglass technology for complex biliary disease at spring Valley Hospital.
Dr Carlson is the Associate Director of the Valley Hospital Gastroenterology Fellowship Program.
Dr Carlson believes the greatest asset in the treatment of gastrointestinal disease is a well-informed and engaged patient. to that end Dr Carlson provides the most current evidence-based approaches to gastrointestinal care. He assures the active participation of the patient in all diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making processes and welcomes feedback on all aspects of the patient's care.
